Final map
Following the Board of Supervisors' direction and taking into consideration the public's input, NDC Research prepared a Final Supervisorial District Map.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the Final Map at its Dec. 7 meeting at 2 p.m.
District Descriptions:
District 1
District 1 includes the communities of: Downtown, Natomas, Del Paso Heights, Curtis Park, Oak Park, Tahoe Park, and McClellan.
More specifically, starting where the Union Pacific Railway crosses into Sacramento County, following the railway south to Ascot Avenue, then east on Ascot Avenue to the McClellan Park property line. Following the property line north to Elkhorn Boulevard and continuing south on the property line to Watt Avenue. Then south on Watt Avenue to the Union Pacific Railway, southwest along the railway to the Sacramento city limit. Then following the city limit on its eastern border south to the American River, and following upstream to Howe Avenue. Then south on Howe Avenue to Folsom Boulevard, southeast on Folsom Boulevard to South Watt Avenue, continuing south along the of Sacramento city limit to Florin Road. Then west on Florin Road to Power Inn Road, north on Power Inn Road to Fruitridge Road, west to the Light Rail Meadowview-line, then north towards downtown to Sutterville Road. Then west on Sutterville Road to Freeport Boulevard, north on Freeport Boulevard to Vallejo Way, and west on Vallejo Way to the Sacramento River. Then following the Sacramento River north (upstream) to the Sacramento County line, then east along the county line to the point of beginning.
District 2
District 2 includes the communities of: Land Park, Pocket, Meadowview, Florin, Parkway, Valley Hi, and part of Vineyard.
More specifically, starting at Vallejo Way and the Sacramento River, east on Vallejo Way to Freeport Boulevard, south on Freeport Boulevard to Sutterville Road, and east on Sutterville Road to the Light Rail Meadowview- line, south to Fruitridge Road, then east to Power Inn Road. Then south on Power Inn Road to Florin Road, east on Florin Road to Elk Grove Florin Road. Then south on Elk Grove Florin Rd to Gerber Road, east on Gerber Road to Excelsior Road. Then south on Excelsior Road to Calvine Road also being the Elk Grove city limits, west on Calvine Road and continuing west along the Elk Grove city limits to Highway 99. Then south on Highway 99 to Sheldon Road, then west on Sheldon Road, and continuing west along the Elk Grove city limits to Franklin Boulevard. Then north on Franklin Boulevard to the Sacramento city limits, continuing northward, westward, and northward along the Sacramento city limits to the Sacramento River north of Freeport. Then north along the Sacramento River (upstream) to the point of beginning.
District 3
District 3 includes the communities of: Arden Arcade, Carmichael, Foothill Farms, College Greens, Fair Oaks, Gold River, and Rancho Cordova east of Sunrise Boulevard.
More specifically, starting at the intersection of Howe Avenue and the American River, following the river downstream to the Sacramento city limits, continuing northward along Ethan Way and the easterly along city limits to Union Pacific Railway. Then continuing northeast along the railway to Walerga Road, north on Walerga Road to Longdale Drive, northeast along Longdale Drive to Keema Ave, west on Keema Avenue to Guthrie Street. Then north on Guthrie Street to Don Julio Boulevard, west on Don Julio Boulevard to Walerga Road, north on Walerga Road to Antelope Road. Then continuing east along the prior alignment of Antelope Road to the Citrus Heights city limit at Daly Avenue. Then south and east along the city limit and following eastward toward Fair Oaks Boulevard, north on Fair Oaks Boulevard to Greenback Lane. Then east on Greenback Lane to Kenneth Avenue, south on Kenneth Ave to Madison Avenue, east on Madison Avenue to a point where the Census Bureau divides the communities of Fair Oaks and Orangevale. Then southeast along this community boundary to a point in the American River and the Folsom city limit. Then following downstream, continuing along the Folsom city limit south and east to White Rock Road. Then following southwest along White Rock Road to Grant Line Road, continuing south on Grant Line Road to Jackson Road. Then west on Jackson Road to Sunrise Boulevard, north on Sunrise Blvd to the American River. Then west, downstream the American River along the Rancho Cordova city limit to the Mayhew drain, then south along the drain to Folsom Boulevard. Then west along Folsom Boulevard to the Highway 50 overpass. Continuing west on Highway 50 to the Sacramento city limits, following the city limits south to Jackson Road. Then west on Jackson Road to Folsom Boulevard, west on Folsom Boulevard to Howe Avenue and then north on Howe Avenue to the point of beginning.
District 4
District 4 includes the communities of: Rio Linda, Elverta, Antelope, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Rancho Murieta, and Folsom.
More specifically, starting at the point common to Placer, Sacramento and El Dorado Counties in Folsom Lake, west along the Sacramento County line to where the Union Pacific Railway crosses into Sacramento County, following the railway south to Ascot Avenue, then east on Ascot Avenue to the McClellan Park property line. Following the property line along the north to Elkhorn Boulevard and continuing south on the property line to Watt Avenue. Then south on Watt Avenue to the Union Pacific Railway, continuing northeast along the railway to Walerga Road, north on Walerga Road to Longdale Drive, northeast along Longdale Drive to Keema Ave, west on Keema Avenue to Guthrie Street. District 5 includes the communities of: Elk Grove, Galt, Wilton, Rosemont, Mather, Rancho Cordova west of Sunrise Boulevard, and the communities of the Sacramento River Delta.
More specifically, starting at the Sacramento city limits and the Sacramento River just north of Freeport, following the limits east and south to Franklin Boulevard, south on Franklin Boulevard to the Elk Grove city limits, continuing east on the city limits to Excelsior Road. Then north on Excelsior Road to Gerber Road, west on Gerber Road to Elk Grove Florin Road. Then north on Elk Grove Florin Road and then along the Sacramento city limits to Highway 50. Then east to the Folsom Boulevard underpass, east on Folsom Boulevard to the Mayhew drain, north along the drain to the American River. Followng the river upstream along the Rancho Cordova city limit to Sunrise Boulevard, continuing south on Sunrise Boulevard to Jackson Road, then east on Jackson Road to the intersection of the Rancho Murieta Community Services District boundary, following the boundary south and east to Jackson Road, following the previous alignment of Jackson Road east to the Sacramento County line. Then continuing on the Sacramento County line south, then west, then north to the point of beginning.
Draft Maps
Sacramento County has contracted with expert consultants, NDC Research, to assist with the 2021 redistricting process and to prepare draft maps based on Communities of Interest testimony and draft maps submitted by the public.
Based on that feedback and the results of the 2020 Census, NDC prepared three draft maps for the public’s review and input.
The Board of Supervisors reviewed, discussed and provided direction on the above three maps at its Nov. 2 meeting, taking into consideration the public's input into the process. Based on that feedback NDC prepared a second draft map for review:
